Macrame as an art technique and form can be dated back as far as 581 to 317BC.
Immensely popular in the late ‘60’s and ‘70’s it then faded into obscurity before making a bold comeback in more recent years.
Macrame today has morphed into edgy pieces that can be designed to suit a diverse range of decors and settings using a variety of materials and found objects.
Chrissy first did macramé as an 11 year old back in the late ‘70’s before rediscovering her passion early in 2014.
Each piece is handmade with love and dedication. It is, in its essence, a very organic process with an emphasis on using Australian made natural cotton ropes and found objects which quite often direct the design and final piece. Custom orders are welcome.
